This is a huge and curated list of (cheats in The Sims 4) that allow you to get money, prevent death, and adjust your skill and career levels. We have also listed the tricks for Get to Work and other expansion packs. Look at the bottom of the list for specific information about the expansion. We’re also up to date with more official EA cheats, including career unlocks and ignored MoveObjects!
Like tricks
To use the cheats, press Control + Shift + C to toggle the console on and off. You can do this on Xbox or Playstation by pressing all four shoulder buttons together. Hit Enter after typing the trick. For many tricks, you also have to use testingcheats on , otherwise they won’t work. Most of the tricks are used in live mode (F2).

Tricks for pregnancy and multiple births
You can use relationship cheats to quickly try on the baby and follow a trick once the Sim is pregnant to force him to give birth. You can even cheat to get twins, triplets, quads, or more! Find it towards the end of the Pregnancy Guide or get specific pregnancy tricks. I have created a page on how to use Pregnancy Tricks.
Tricks to turn a Sim into a ghost
Go to the ghost guide for cheats to turn a Sim into a Death ghost of any type, based on the type of death. You can also skip Ambrosia or the Book of Life and turn a dead Sim into a normal Sim by removing this ghost trait once it’s added back to your family.
Testing tricks
To enable TestingCheats, open the console with Left CTRL + Shift + C (press / hold in one smooth motion in that order) or by pressing all four buttons on the console’s shoulder. When the white box appears, type testingcheats on . To disable testing cheats, type testingcheats off . The cheat console will say “Cheats Enabled” or “Disabled”. If not, you can try other options: testingcheats 1 , testingcheats true , and testingcheats yes all work to enable Sims 4 testingcheats. Once enabled, they should remain active for your save. Here are the things you can do with testingcheats: Note that this command is also needed for the extra cheats further down.
How To Use Shift + Click Style Cheats On PS4 / Xbox Consoles – Can’t Shift Click On Xbox One and Playstation 4. Enable this option by pressing X + O (PS4) or A + B (Xbox One).
Shift + click on the mailbox to access the trick to stop the decay of the need for a Sim for your current family or the whole neighborhood (make everyone happy). Disable Need Decay will make needs stop dropping and reactivating them is as simple as selecting “Enable Need Decay”. Make Happy will therefore satisfy the needs to the maximum. You can do this on an individual Sim level by Shift-clicking your Sims. will allow you to choose to make only that Sim’s needs static or to make them happy by meeting all needs. You can also completely redraw a Sim by clicking on it while holding the Shift key and selecting Edit in CAS . This brings you to Create A Sim, where you can make the Sim look however you like, but don’t change their gender or traits.
Change the traits and appearance of the Sims To completely change a Sim in Create A Sim, type cas.fulleditmode with TestingCheats On. It will allow you to change the gender, traits, everything and is much more powerful than the reduced version you get without type this trick.
By Shift-clicking NPC Sims you can add them to your family. You’ll find that you can enable / disable craving decay and keep them happy if you wish – good if your Sim’s date has to leave because they’re tired! You can also edit them in CAS if you wish.
Shift + click on the ground will allow you to teleport to wherever you can walk in the neighborhood.
Shift-clicking on objects allows you to restore them if something crashes or breaks.
Shift + click on objects , for those that can get dirty, allows you to dirty or clean them – all objects can be restored too. Use this if an object is disturbed, but it is more likely to be useful when a Sim gets stuck.
Customize the size of objects – Zoom in or out – This is a winner for decorative purposes. It allows you to modify objects while keeping their other properties (so a reduced masterpiece painting will consume less wall space). This trick only works in build mode, as changing the size of the object requires you to fit it somewhere. Take the object you want to change the size of and press Shift +] (right square bracket) to enlarge it. You can shrink objects down to one tile by using Shift + [or using Ctrl + Z to undo changes. If you press too much, it will increase enormously. The controls for this are a bit unstable, so experimenting is recommended. I press Control +] then move the object to see the change. This is necessary. Thankfully, if you go overboard like in the photo above, you can always undo it and shrink the object down to the size of your choice.
Tricks of skill, career and aspiration
Powerful hidden tricks
I’m just listing the most common tricks here. It can do more in-depth things, like the ability to equip and remove traits, it can be done, but the list is too long for here, so it’s on its page. If you want to go further and use a mod, you can change the weather if you are a Seasons player with using The Sims 4 Seasons weather cheats.
Testingcheats on should be enabled, as some tricks won’t work without it. Skill / Career Cheats only affect the selected Sim.
Money X – Type Money 50000 or 1000000, whichever you prefer, and your family will have exactly that amount. This can be used to steal funds because it sets the money on any specified amount. Motherlode is a beautiful cheat. Here you can get All Money cheats.
Aspiration / Satisfaction Cheats – Type Aspirations.Complete_Current_Milestone and you will get all the satisfaction from completing that milestone and move on to the next one, one stage closer to the special reward trait you get for completing the aspiration. You can do this repeatedly until you have all the reward traits and satisfaction drops. It’s listed above, but it’s worth repeating here: Sims.Give_Satisfaction_Points gives the selected Sim an amount of satisfaction equal to what you enter. sims.give_satisfaction_points 50000 would give you 50,000 (so don’t use commas).
Infinite Consumables – You can purchase disposable potions with satisfaction. You can also milk cow plants that killed Sims to get a potion that increases their duration. You can make these consumables infinite using the objects.consumables_infinite_toggle trick. This can allow you to always get a particular emotion or make a Sim immortal with aging still going on.
Career Tricks
To cheat career levels, join the Career you want and with testingcheats enabled, type Careers.promote X – for example, astronaut careers.promote would promote your Sim to the next level in astronaut career. Any career that has multiple words must not contain spaces, for example, secret agent careers.promote.
Careers.demote X also works, returning a level Sim. You cannot use it to go back to choosing the branch for a career – if you are at the first level of a branch, you will be fired using this.
Adding and removing cheats via command – Careers can be added via command using careers.add_career careercode or careers.remove_career careercode . These can be used to give a teenager an adult job, although things can go crazy, especially with freelance careers. Always backup your saved game before trying strange things!
If you’re not aware, you’ll love this trick: to get more promotions quickly, copy the following command for the career you’re in – just the careers.promote x part – and paste it into the game’s command line with Control – V (Command -V on Mac). Paste it up to your level 10!

Increase a Sim’s grades with careers.promote gradeschool or careers.promote highschool . You can also lower them with careers.demote gradeschool / highschool .
Skill tricks
Stats.Set_Skill_Level is the skill cheat. You have to insert skills and level in the code. For example, type Stats.set_skill_level major_painting 7 to set painting to level 7 – any level between 1 and 10 will work. Replace with major_parenting or vampire_lore, depending on how the game defines the abilities listed below. Note the different syntax for fitness, minor skills, and children’s skills. If you can’t get the cheat skills to work, try stats.set_skill_level adultmajor_x instead of “major”. You can find _ next to the backspace key on the keyboard.
With testingcheats on, type Stats.set_skill_level major_handiness 10 – make handiness 10. Note the Major_ before the skill name. If you did, you would see the level 10 popup. To quickly maximize all skills, copy stats.set_skill_level major_ and paste it into your command console in the game. Finish the command with the skill, then the level. This doesn’t work for fitness, so you have to copy that line. Remember the photography limits to 5.

Emotion tricks
This requires TwistedMexi’s All Tricks , but it’s something people often want to do, so I’ll list it here. You can slightly affect emotions by adding buffs to Sims, although you may need happy or other bonuses to put them to “Very Inspired” or add other negative buffs to make a Sim super embarrassed (Mortified). Here are some I got from the TwistedMexi wiki, which I am using with your permission. Use Sims.add_buff X, for example Sims.add_buff social_happy:
- Energized: EnergizedLow or EnergizedHigh (do not stack, high gives +2 Energized)
- Flirty: FlirtyLow or FlirtyHigh (do not stack, high gives +2 Flirty)
- Inspired: InspiredLow or InspiredHigh (do not stack, high gives +2 Inspired)
- Focused: FocusedLow or FocusedHigh (do not stack, high gives +2 Focused)
- Playful: PlayfulLow or PlayfulHigh (do not stack, high gives +2 Playful)
- Sad: SadLow or SadHigh (do not stack, high gives +2)
- Angry: Social_Angry, e_Buff_Angry, feelingangry, unfaithful (these all stack)
- Happy: Social_Happy or e_Buff_Happy (these two stack, adding Happiness)
- Uncomfortable: e_buff_uncomfortable

Reward cheats of traits, rewards and aspirations
Traits can be equipped for Sims, Rewards in Satisfaction Points, and those you earn by completing Aspirations. The trick to add / remove them is Traits.equip_trait X or Traits.Remove_trait X. Almost all of the Stroke Cheats can be found here. Most are simply the name of the trait, but that’s not always the case. For example, there are:

Relationship tricks
You can change Sims’ relationship relationships using Cheats a little long modifyrelationship yoursimfirst yoursimlast targetsimfirst targetsimlast x relationshiptype . The relationship type is LTR_Friendship_main or LTR_Romance_Main . With Cats and Dogs, you use LTR_SimtoPet_Friendship_Main , which won’t work if the pet doesn’t have the last name. X is the percentage of the bar, full, half or half, in red (negative numbers). While there are many different relationship names, these are combinations of varying amounts of friendship / romance (positive or negative). Get famous tricks
I created a page about The Sims 4 Get Famous Cheats. Get Famous includes many of the necessary tricks via the testingcheats interface. Shift-click on Sims and you can use the “Public Image” menu to raise the celebrity’s fame rank, change their public image from good or bad, or even freeze their fame and remove specific oddities. If you want to restore the perks of fame, it’s doable with the phone for $ 275. The actor’s career, acting ability, and media production are all in their respective categories, but I’ll list them: stats.set_skill_level major_acting 10, stats.set_skill_level minor_mediaproduction 5, careers.promote actor or, for kids, careers .promote dramaclub for example.
Dine Out Cheats
The following restaurant perk tricks for The Sims 4 Dine Out Game Pack have been collected based on the GTW Cheats format as this category appears to borrow from Get to Work’s Retail. I found that the same code works and I just had to track down their names within the files. You will notice that they differ. Note that Meal Rush and Surplus Harvest can be used every 24 hours. For those like additional employees or discounts on ingredients, you may need to get them in order. You can take tippers in order multiple times, but I’m not sure if you need to do something special to add extra grades.

Vampires Cheats
How to turn a Sim into a vampire
stats.set_stat commodity_BecomingVampire 2160 will begin the natural conversion process, while traits.equip_trait trait_OccultVampire will immediately transform them into vampires. To remove the vampire trait and restore a Sim, use traits.remove_trait trait_OccultVampire . You can use these tricks to convert Sims from the Gallery.
How to unlock the perks of the vampire
stats.set_stat ratedStatistic_Occult_VampireXP 1593 maximizes your vampire rank and will give you 2 PowerPoint every time you enter the code. Copy it from here and use control + V after opening the cheat panel in the game to paste it repeatedly. You can find more specific vampire tricks here.
Parenting Tricks
The Sims 4 Parenthood comes with a new Parenting skill, which can cheat with stats.set_skill_level major_ parenting EX – I’ve created a page about more sims 4 Parenthood cheats.
Character Values Tricks
Toddlers, toddlers, and teens can experience five different character values, ranging from -100 to 100 (good or good). You can manually set them so that as your Sim ages into adulthood, they will receive reward traits that reflect their morality, manners, etc. They are set with: stats.set_stat lifeskillstatistic_empathy 100 , as an example of stats.set_stat lifeskillstatistic_conflictresolution -100 – Make sure you include a number based on how full or negative you want the experience bars to be:
- Conflict Resolution: stats.set_stat lifeskillstatistic_conflictresolution X
- Emotional Control: stats.set_stat lifeskillstatistic_emotionalcontrol X
- Empathy: stats.set_stat lifeskillstatistic_empathy X
- Manners: stats.set_stat lifeskillstatistic_manners X
- Responsibility: stats.set_stat lifeskillstatistic_responsibility X
Reward traits for character values
The new trait reward character values are earned as kids and teens become adults and can be added or removed from your Sim if you have a bad one. In some cases, you can have the good from one of the five categories but you cannot equip the bad at the same time. Traits are added with traits.equip_trait x and removed with traits.remove_trait x .

The Sims 4 Dogs and Cats Cheats
Cats and dogs offer some ways to cheat. First, you can increase the skills listed above (Major_veterinarian and Skill_Dogtraining in-game code). You can also cheat to unlock veterinary clinic benefits. Here is the complete list of codes to unlock them. After enabling testingcheats, you would type bucks.unlock_perk AdditionalVet_1 true to unlock the additional vet. Note the _ as well as the spaces between unlock_perk and true.

Seasons tricks
The Sims 4 Seasons Expansion Pack doesn’t offer many careers or skills to cheat (only three listed in the Career and Skill Cheats sections), but it’s possible Cheats to Change Time with a mod. You can also equip your Sim with the Scouting Aptitude Reward Trait and other rewards from the DLC.
Realm of Magic cheats
Realm of Magic includes a few unique tricks to that game pack. You can increase Spellcaster Rank, learn spells and potion recipes via buy debug, equip the unique traits from RoM, including Magical Bloodline, and add or remove curses. If you can’t get the Cheats to work
Many tricks require you to test the tricks to work. Make sure you’ve done testingcheats on first. It mainly works from the game’s live / build / buy modes, as many don’t work on the map. You should pause it by pressing tilde (`) or clicking the pause icon, and when the time comes you will first have to press and hold the left CTRL key, then Shift, then C in that order, without letting go of any of the keys, to open the console first. This should be a smooth motion and not too slow. Secondly, you need to type the tricks exactly.
