Get promotions and unlock career items
Cheating your way through your career in The Sims 4 can help you avoid having to go through the same career again and again. You can also unlock items in Buy mode limited to Sims who have reached a certain career level. Here's a guide to cheating every career in The Sims 4:
To begin: open the console
Awards Ctrl + Shift + C on the keyboard to open the command line - type testingcheats on to ensure that any tricks you use work (some require this). After pressing Enter, this can be closed by pressing the C control key again or pressing Esc when in focus.
Unlock items in Buy mode
Bb.ignoregameplayunlocksentitlement (Ignore Gameplay Unlock right all run together) will have requirements off build/buy items such as high end easels, computers and career specific furniture that cannot be purchased without having a high level in a career. These items are typically offered for free when a Sim is promoted into a specific career (found in the family inventory) but can be purchased (usually for a premium price).
The Sims 4 career cheats
Enter careers.promote x replacing x with the career of your choice. You can also press on the keyboard after pressing Enter and quickly re-enter it a second time. This is how you can climb more levels without having to retype it.

School tricks
Younger Sims' school counts as a career for cheating purposes. Improve a Sim's grades with careers.promote gradeschool o careers.promote highschool. You can also lower them with careers.demote gradeschool / highschool. If you have the Seasons expansion, you can also promote your child in the scout career, with careers.promote_scout. Players with Get Famous can try careers.promote drama club to increase the rank of their child in the new Drama Club function.
