The Sims 4 Eco Innovator Suction Ecological Lifestyle

With the release of The Sims 4 Eco Lifestyle we were given two new aspirations to work on, first the Master Maker aspiration and then the Eco Innovator aspiration.

These aspirations follow the same sort of route as recent aspirations which are more of a walk through the pack than something I find annoying, but if you're a bit lost with what to do in Eco Lifestyle it can be a great option to show you some aspects of the pack.

The core of the eco-innovator's aspiration is that your sim wants to build a better, greener community and will do so through neighbourhood action plans and the career of a civic planner.

Steps in the aspiration of the eco-innovator

Level one: Economist

  • Have 5 Community Influence Points
  • Vote 1 Neighbourhood Action Plan

There are actually a lot of things in the game that will give you influence points, so getting those 5 points won't take long. You can have friendly interactions, make friends with people in the neighbourhood, get promoted, organise parties and much more. These 5 points shouldn't take long to get, just go talk to your neighbours and be nice.

To vote on a neighbourhood action plan, you must go to the community council in your neighbourhood in Evergreen Harbour. If you live in a different world, you can simply click on your mailbox in your lot and choose neighbourhood action plans.

You will see the action plans that currently have votes and you can even add your own. Voting costs 10 influence points, so you will have to earn a lot before you can vote.

Level two: Civilian City Clean

  • Sell electricity or water with a bill
  • Become a civil designer

To be able to sell energy or water to the utility company, you will have to produce more than you use. This means that you must have wind turbines or solar panels on your plot to sell energy or a dew collector on your plot to sell water. You will have the option to click on your mailbox and choose to see the information on your bill, on the right side of the page that opens you will have the option to click to sell excess energy or water.

To complete the second part of this level you will need to join the civil designer career, just joining the career should tick this. You should start working on this career as quickly as possible as you will need to reach level 10 of this carer before you can complete the aspiration.

Level three: civil citizen

  • Attempt to convince a Sim to vote on a neighbourhood action plan
  • Vote twice separate Neighbourhood Action Plans
  • Reach level 10 in the civil engineering career

Before you can get a sim to vote on a neighbourhood action plan, you will have to get them to have a decent relationship with your sim. It's just like most things in sims, it won't work if you don't have a relationship because they won't trust you.

When you have a decent relationship with a sim you can try to convince them to vote for an action plan you are supporting by clicking on it, this will cost you influence points so make sure you keep earning them.

You will also have to work your way up to the end of a civil engineering career, so it may take some time to complete. It is advisable to start your career at the time you start this aspiration!

Bonus section

Every time you finish an aspiration in The Sims 4 you will get a bonus trait that your sim will get and for the eco-innovator aspiration you will become an influential individual.

The description of this bonus feature says "when influential people speak, everyone listens. They can convince the community to cheer for a local hero or write them off on a whim".

Final thoughts

This aspiration can be really fun when you first pick up The Sims 4: Eco Lifestyle, however, I don't think it has much replayability as it's really just a breeze. Enjoy the game!
